Details when prisoners are received or released and what supplies / toiletries have been sent for them, paid out usually by a wife or mother. 

 

Last page notes that there is a $25 due charge on a guard to which he asks they not issue a warrant. I charge him this amount because he has either pond (sic) or sold the pistol. 

 

Includes updates on the cotton and corn crops. He outlays the draught and that the animals are well rested because they cannot plow ground. 

 

Warden nearly apologizes for purchasing one dozen mattresses after a visiting doctor insisted. The Negroes health has been good since my last report, I have not had any sickness.
